BLD Plantation Bhd. (BLDP)
BLDP was incorporated in Malaysia as a public limited company under the Companies Act 1965 on 19 October 2001. It was listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad under the plantation sector on 21 July 2003. It serves as a parent company to Bintulu Lumber Development Sdn. Bhd., Kirana Palm Oil Refinery Sdn. Bhd., Grand Mutual Sdn. Bhd., Niamas Istimewa Sdn. Bhd., BLD Resources Sdn. Bhd., Rela Aman Sdn. Bhd. and Easibright Sdn. Bhd. BLDP is principally engaged in investment holding and provision of management services.
Bintulu Lumber Development Sdn. Bhd. (BLD)
Incorporated in Malaysia as a private limited company under the Companies Act 1965 on 20 October 1975, BLD’s principal activities are oil palm plantation, processing of fresh fruit bunches and sales of related products.
Currently, BLD has about 22,000 hectare (Ha) of agricultural land planted with oil palms in its estates at Lambir Land District and Sawai Land District (which are along the Miri-Bintulu main road) and Kabang Land District and Lassa Land District (which are at Batang Igan, Sibu) Sarawak.
Kirana Palm Oil Refinery Sdn. Bhd. (Kirana)
Kirana was incorporated on 17 August 1995 and it is principally engaged in palm oil refining and kernel crushing activities.
Kirana has a palm oil refinery and kernel crushing plant at Tanjung Kidurong Industrial Estate in Bintulu, Sarawak’s northern region and they are strategically located close to deep-sea Bintulu Port. The plants were commissioned in year 2008, and the related products are for both local and overseas markets. The plants serve to transform BLDP Group into a greater integrated palm oil player with upstream and downstream activities in years ahead.
Grand Mutual Sdn. Bhd. (GM)
GM was incorporated in Malaysia on 5 January 1996 and it is principally engaged in oil palm plantation. GM has planted about 3,500 Ha of oil palm in its estates at Sawai Land District in Miri and Jelalong Land District in Bintulu, Sarawak.
GM’s plantation land is adjacent to BLD’s oil palm plantations and this provides synergistic benefits to BLDP Group as it helps to reduce logistic and operational costs.
Niamas Istimewa Sdn. Bhd. (NI)
NI was incorporated on 29 September 2000. It is a joint venture company between BLD as investor and Global Majumas Sdn. Bhd. (the trustee for the inhabitants at Ulu Sungai Niah District, Miri, Sarawak). NI’s principal activity is oil palm plantation. NI has planted about 1,800 Ha of oil palms.
BLD Resources Sdn. Bhd. (BLDR)
Incorporated on 13 May 2002, BLDR is another vehicle of BLDP Group intended to enhance the Group’s oil palm concern for future development. It is located at Sawai Land District, Miri, Sarawak with approximately 1,800 Ha of agricultural land.
Rela Aman Sdn. Bhd. (Rela)
In the business expansion, our wholly-owned subsidiary, BLD undertook a strategic investment to acquire 80% equity interest in Rela, and the acquisition was successfully completed on 29 December 2009. It enables BLD to own a four-storey commercial building in Miri, Sarawak and the principal activity of Rela is letting of property.
Easibright Sdn. Bhd. (EBSB)
BLD, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BLDP, acquired EBSB on 9 December 2014. EBSB became a 100% own subsidiary of BLD and EBSB’s principal activity is general contractor.
